10 wishes for my kiddos.

I love my kids. Pretty much everything I do revolves around them. Anytime I do something, I’m wondering how it will affect them. This blog for example. I was so scared to start it. I have no writing experience, I’m technically challenged, my heart goes crazy when I hit publish because I worry it’s too long, too short, not exciting or funny enough. But I told my kids about it when I started getting the ball rolling. So, I had to follow through with it so they saw I wasn’t a quitter. And sometimes change, although scary, can be good.

I want what is best for my boogers, as any parent. I often wonder what they will choose to be when they grow up.  And I just hope that we have given them enough guidance to make good choices and hopefully make even a small difference in this crazy world. I often think of things or “wishes” I have for my kids so I decided to list them and I’d thought I’d share them with you guys.

My 10 wishes for my kiddos:
  1. To know” right from wrong” and be ok with going with “right” even if their friends don’t.
  2. To find those couple of friends, whether it is 1 good one or 3-4 good ones, that will stick up for them, be kind and like them for who they are.
  3. To know that even when we fight or punish, they are still loved by mom and dad.
  4. To look back as adults and see all the good in our family and even though we weren’t perfect, we were still awesome.
  5. For them to see their weirdness or quirks as positives and not flaws.
  6. To be able to stick up for the “less popular” or “weird” kids and show them kindness.
  7. To know that even when things seem bad with friends or school or life in general, this too shall pass. They will get through it.
  8. To know that once they are grown, “statuses” and “likes” are not important. Self worth and self love are important.
  9. To understand moderation in most anything…food, drink, money spent, time spent, and many other life things. Less is more.
  10. Confidence. Confidence in their choices. Confidence in themselves. Confidence in their opinions.

Some of these may change as they get older. I could probably add more. But this is the gist of what I wish for my kiddos at this moment in time.

Sorry for such a serious post, but sometimes life is serious yo. Ok. I’m done adulting for today. What wishes do you have for your kids? Are they similar to mine? Can you name a few more?

Until next time….

10 wishes for my kiddos.

Thanks! I figured other parents would think the same or similar. Thanks for commenting. 😊
