Monthly Mayhem July edition
**Monthly Mayhem is going to be a monthly round up of life as it unravels, unfolds and hits me on the head for the past month. Oh, and there may be some good things that stuck out to me, too. Enjoy my monthly Mayhem.**

Here’s the July round up of fantastic family fun. Well, some of it was fun. Some, not so much.
Cheers to July! The good, the bad and the ugly. Check. It. Out.
July 4th obvs. Food, fireworks, family, friends and, of course, freedom. Lots of “F’s” going on! I love the 4th and the gathering of everyone, and this year was awesome because our little town set off fireworks that we watched from our front yard. And our yard was full of people. We watched. We cheered. We enjoyed.
Fighting. Lots of sibling fighting & mom yelling because what’s summer break without mom losing her shit & yelling like a nut. Thank God for closed windows…
Vacation. And by vacation I mean not vacation because with kids. It’s not. I love my kids. I love to take them places. But it’s more like I’m a tour guide/prison guard. “And over here you have the lovely …hey, get back over here! Who said you could walk over there!? Don’t touch that!”. Most moms need a vacation from their vacation. And vacation of summer 2017 shall go down in history as worst vacay evah. Let’s just say motion sickness, panic attack, puking, diarrhea. Such. Fun. Check that out here.
Swimming. We’re lucky to have a relative with a pool, otherwise, who knows if my kids would know how to swim!
Outside. Not really. It’s too hot.
My dog. She got a haircut. She’s cute. That’s all.
Free movie days. We have 2 local movie theaters that run free or $1 movies during the summer. We have yet to make it to one. They start at 10 a.m. I’m not usually showered yet ….
Movies in the park. One of the local churches shows a free movie in the park near us every month in summer. We went in June and 10 min in… RAIN! It is fun though, when the weather cooperates. Fingers crossed for July and August. *Update, July also rain. Come on August! We’re counting on you!*
Sick. Being sick is not cool, especially in summer, when germs are supposed to be fried, burned, whatever by the sun! So, Alex started it with a cough, then I got the cough, just in time for vacation. Ug!!! Back from vacation & I’m still coughing. Plus, as I said above, stomach bug hit on vacay. And hubs dealing with pneumonia!!?
July. You kept us on our toes! That’s fo sho!
What was your July like? Did you have some good times? Some bad times? Let us know in comments. Share away on my social media!
Until next time….

July 31, 2017 at 3:19 pmSounds like a busy July. Ours was equally busy; just seems to be that month of the year when we’re always on the go. Summer colds are no fun. My kiddos are battling one right now and I’m crossing my fingers it doesn’t spread throughout the whole fam.
